Ohio Board of Regents chancellor and wife to visit Kent

Jim Petro, Ohio Board of Regents chancellor, and his wife, Nancy Petro, will participate in University Libraries’ Kent Reads program Friday.
The program will start at 2 p.m. on the first floor of the library in the Quiet Study Area. Kent Reads is free and open to the public.
Jim Petro will read from “False Justice: Eight Myths that Convict the Innocent,” a book he co-authored with his wife. The book focuses on wrongful criminal conviction and using DNA testing to deter this.
Jim Petro served as an attorney for 37 years and currently serves as Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents. In this position, he serves as the leader of the board, the coordinating board for public higher education in Ohio.
