Football fans will get their first glimpse of the 2012 Flashes at the Department of Athletics’ Fan Fest August 16 from 5-8 p.m.

The event is free, open to the public and allows fans to interact with players, get an early look at this season’s team and participate in a number of pregame festivities.

Attendees will gather in the Kent State Field House at the Indoor Tailgate Zone, which will include festivities such as food vendors, music and inflatables. Fans will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Flash and the Kent State cheerleaders.

The football team will then hold an open practice and scrimmage beginning at 6 p.m. people wishing to purchase season tickets for the 2012 season will be able to do so at this time, with the option of selecting their seats.

After the scrimmage, the players and coaches will hold an autograph session on the field.
