Library supplements course with foreign-language children’s books
July 31, 2012
Kent State’s University Library will feature foreign-language children’s books for the upcoming International Baccalaureate Career-related Certification program.
The IBCC helps develop career-related competencies that encourage international-mindedness in students and educators and addresses the needs of students who wish to engage in career-related education, according to the International Baccalaureate Organization website.
Vanessa Earp, reference and instruction librarian for the College of Education, Health and Human Services, said the main library is in the process of ordering a number of children’s literature books in foreign languages to help prepare Kent State students to teach locally and internationally.
