Chardon shooter charged
March 2, 2012
Suspected Chardon High School shooter T.J. Lane was charged with three juvenile counts of aggravated murder in an attack that killed three students and wounded two others.
Lane is accused of opening fire Monday morning in the Chardon High School cafeteria. Geauga County Prosecutor David Joyce announced the charges Tuesday.
The counts of juvenile aggravated murder could mean a few years in detention if he is convicted. Joyce previously said he has plans to try Lane as an adult. If charged and convicted as an adult, he could be facing life in prison.
Lane is also facing two counts of attempted aggravated murder and one count of felonious assault.
