Bruce Jenner to speak at KSU for disaAbility Awareness Month

Bruce Jenner is not just the father and stepfather on the E! Network reality TV show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
He also earned the title of “World’s Greatest Athlete” in the 1976 Olympics after breaking the world record in the decathlon. He has starred on numerous television programs and hosted his own health show. He is an actor, producer, author, sportscaster and commentator.
Jenner is coming to Kent State to speak about overcoming his dyslexia in honor of disAbility Awareness Month. He will be in the Student Center Ballroom Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Jenner has had dyslexia since childhood.
“Dyslexia made me outwork the next guy,” Jenner said in a brochure.
Amy Quillin, associate director for Student Accessibility Services, said his speech will be about where his attitude toward his disability, and overcoming it, took him in life.
The event is free to anyone who wishes to attend.
