October 16, 2011
Kristine Haag, costume shopper for the TV show “True Blood,” will speak at Kent State Monday at 5 p.m. in Music and Speech Room D305.
Her lecture will focus on costuming in television and film. She will also talk about what it is like to work freelance and in unions, her work on “True Blood” and how to obtain the jobs, said J.R. Campbell, professor and director of School of Fashion Design and Merchandising.
Haag received her undergrad from Kent State in theatre design with an emphasis in costume design and technology before getting her masters from University of California Irvine. Since then, she has worked on numerous television shows and movies including “90210,” “Mad Men” and “Big Love.”
The lecture is a first-come-first-serve basis for 30 students.
