Auditions for Culture Shock Fashion Show
September 25, 2011
Kent State is participating in the Culture Shock Fashion Show and is holding auditions for models and dancers.
Auditions are to be held Tuesday and Wednesday from 7:30-10 p.m. in Oscar Ritchie Hall room 219. All women auditioning must bring a pair of heels to walk in.
Along with model auditions, the show needs designers and hair and make-up artists. To be considered for either, applicants are asked to bring a portfolio of their work to the audition.
Tia Johnson, Kent State’s coordinator of the show, said in an email the show last year in Cleveland had more than 1,000 people in attendance.
The fashion show began in 2006 as an exhibition for trained college models and featured students from Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo. The event has now expanded to become the largest independent fashion show and includes six Ohio state institutions.
“We are looking for any and everyone to come out and audition,” Johnson said.
The show will be held Nov. 27.
