Geauga Campus to partner with upcoming Burton music festival

The Geauga County Historical Society is hosting the Raccoon Music Festival at Century Village in Burton Aug. 13. Kent State Geauga Campus, through the New Harmonies Exhibit, will partner with the Historical Society on this all-day bluegrass and traditional music festival. The festival includes live entertainment and workshops, games for the children, food and drinks.
Local and regional musicians will perform traditional folk music common to America in a continuous series of concerts throughout the day on one main stage beginning at noon.
Workshops and performances will take place in the old church. A square dance will take place to end the festivities. Admission is $10 for ages 12 and older, $4 for children 6 to 11 and free for children 5 and younger. Tickets will be available at the gate on the day of the festival.
