Faculty Senate elected officers to serve for the 2011-2012 academic year Monday.

• Paul Farrell, professor of computer science, will be Faculty Senate chair.

• Linda Williams, associate professor of philosophy, will be keeping her position as vice chair.

•Jarrod Tudor, assistant professor of sociology at the Stark Campus, will be secretary.

• Tom Janson, professor of music and Faculty Senate secretary for the 2010-2011 academic year, will be at-large.

Faculty Senate also discussed articulation agreements with Lakeland Community College and Cuyahoga Community College. These agreements, which will take effect this semester, will make it easier for students who have completed a two-year degree program at these community colleges to continue their education at Kent State.
