USG senator applications for 2011-2012 being accepted
January 25, 2011
Applications are being accepted for the 2011-2012 Undergraduate Student Government election ballot.
Students interested in running for a position can pick up applications at the Center for Student Involvement front desk on the second floor of the Student Center.
Elected candidate applications must be turned into the CSI office, room 226 in the Student Center by Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. Appointed senator applications are due March 11 at 5 p.m.
Students must complete the candidate application, declare their desired position, meet the university’s requirements and obtain a minimum of 210 valid petition signatures.
“It’s an out-of-the-classroom experience,” said Donna Carlton, USG faculty advisor and assistant director of Center for Student Involvement. “So (students) take what they learn and put it to practice.”
