Snow causes parking ban for Kent-McLean
January 18, 2011
Due to the winter storm, the Department of Public Service has announced a snow emergency parking ban for the city of Kent.
The ban prohibits all parking on Kent streets to allow city crew-members to remove the ice and snow.
According to the Director of Public Service, the ban will remain in effect after the storm until the city crew has finished clearing all of the roads. Snow emergency parking bans are issued for the public’s safety when there are two or more inches of snow accumulated on the streets.
The ban was announced on Wednesday at 9 am and will remain in effect until further notice.
