CiderFest to celebrate fall favorites
November 4, 2010
The Haymaker Farmer’s Market vendors may have wrapped up their season last weekend, but that’s no reason for downtown Kent to say goodbye to apple cider, baked goods and autumnal entertainment. Standing Rock Cultural Arts and the city of Kent will hold a “deciderly different” CiderFest on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at the Home Savings Plaza on the corner of Main and Water streets.
The event is free to the public and will offer pumpkin painting, music performed by The Kent Shindig All Stars, Lucky Penny Creamery cheese samples, Haymaker Farm Market vendors, baked goods and hot apple cider for purchase.
CiderFest is an annual part of the Downtown Innovative Community Events series. DICE is a partnership between Standing Rock Cultural Arts, the City of Kent and downtown businesses to revitalize and develop downtown.
