Megan Dye, the 17-year-old who was reported missing from Kent Wednesday, has returned home to her family. Kent Police said they do not have any reason to believe Dye was abducted from Kent or taken against her will.

Kent Police are continuing investigate the details surrounding Dye’s disappearance and are working with Cincinnati Police to learn more information about the time Dye spent there. 

Dye was found alive and healthy in Cincinnati Friday, according to the Kent Police Department.

Dye was reported missing Wednesday at approximately 9:30 p.m. after she did not return to her home in Brimfield by her 9 p.m. curfew, according to a press release from the police department. 

Police said Dye’s parents tracked her phone to Tannery Park on Stow Street in Kent, where police found her purse and phone inside her vehicle. She had made plans to meet with friends in Kent that evening. 

Dye is 5’ 4” and approximately 170 pounds. She has blue eyes and recently dyed her hair purple, but it may look burgundy, according to the press release. Dye was last seen wearing blue shorts and black T-shirt with Elvis on the front.
