Planetarium show open to all
September 23, 2010
The Department of Physics will host a free planetarium show tonight, tomorrow and Oct. 1. All shows are one hour and begin at 8 p.m. in Smith Hall room 108.
Professor Brett Ellman will present a tour of the night sky, highlighting stars and constellations that can be seen at this time of year.
He will also present “the latest and greatest results of NASA and astronomers around the world.”
Hands-on demonstrations including magnets, meteorites and astronomy software will be available before and after the show for people to explore.
Ellman said he thinks it is a good event for students to relax with friends or go on a “date night.”
“The object is to have a good time and take it easy and enjoy yourself,” he said. “If you learn something, that’s good too.”
