Wick Poetry Center hosts poetry competition
September 16, 2010
The Chapbook Poetry Competition begins this fall, and all poets residing in Ohio can submit their work for a chance to be published in the Wick Chapbook Series.
Any poet in Ohio can take part in the Open Competition, while Ohio poets currently enrolled in college or university courses can enter the Student Competition. Each poet may only enter one competition. Entries will be accepted between Aug. 31 and Oct. 30. No late submissions will be considered.
In Spring 2011, two to four selected entries will be published in the Wick Chapbook Series. A reading at Kent State will also be awarded to the winning authors.
According to the Wick Poetry Center website, submissions for the Open Competition must include a $15 reading fee. There is no reading fee for Student Competition entries.
