Road improvements could cause delays
August 10, 2010
Roadwork that began on Monday will result in temporary lane closures and possible delays until Friday, according a press release by the Office of the University Architect and Campus Environment and Operations.
Crews will be applying tar sealant to cracks on campus roads to prevent further damage from moisture infiltration. After the cracks have been filled, a striping crew will repaint all campus roadway lines.
The Office of the University Architect, in conjunction with Campus Environment and Operations, advises to allow additional time to get on campus. It also urges motorists to drive cautiously for the safety of the work crews and to prevent material from tracking onto tires.
While the roadwork is expected to be completed Friday, paving operations are weather dependent and are subject to change.
