Students get the chance to go bananas at two events

Bananas and bingo—Students have the opportunity tonight to spend their study
break partaking in events offered by Dining Services and Kent Student Center
Programming.
“Banana Day” is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in Eastway.
Autumn Piller, Dining Services marketing manager, said this is the third
annual Banana Day.
“I personally will be in a banana suit,” she said. “There is going to be a gorilla
too.”
Students can get their picture taken, and enjoy the wide range of banana
treats made by a pastry chef, according to Piller.
“We are going to have a variety of a banana desserts, including bananas
foster and banana pudding,” she said.
“Break Free Bingo” is tonight at 8 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom, where students can win prizes provided by Kent Student Center Programming.
Jennifer Gunnoe, Student Center Programming marketing coordinator, said there are prizes to support students’ spring break.
“We have some terrific prizes to give away,” Gunnoe Said. “Including: Garmin
GPS System, digital camcorder, car stereo with CD and MP3 player, iPod Nano, digital camera, five-piece Jeep brand luggage set and more!”
The event will be limited to the first 500 participants.
