African cuisine featured at Eastway Café
October 14, 2009
The Kent African Student Association and Dining Services are co-sponsoring “African Dinner: Inspired by the Tastes of Africa” at 4:30 p.m. tonight in the Eastway Café.
Students attending the dinner will have the opportunity to enjoy a cuisine from different African countries until 8 p.m. There will also be live performances at the event.
“It is important for Kent State students to experience the tastes of Africa because it will add to their cultural experience here at the university,” said Tristian Holmes, senior business management major and president of KASA. “We felt that since Dining Services has put on soul food nights, Latino food nights, German and Italian food nights, it would be justified in helping to throw an African dinner.”
