Undergraduate Student Government will give one iPod Touch to a student for voting in this election.

Ronnie McArdle, governmental affairs director, said he sees the giveaway as a way to encourage students to go to the polls.

“I figure if they have more incentive, they’ll be more likely to stand in line,” he said, adding students may wait in line for up to two hours.

Students can enter the drawing by visiting USG’s information table, McArdle said. Members will be at the table from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Student Center. He said the table will most likely be outside USG offices.

In addition to the contest, McArdle said members will be available to answer questions students may have about voting, such as polling sites and voter identification and documentation.

USG will draw a winner Friday. The winner will need to prove he or she voted. McArdle said this can be done through the Ohio Secretary of State’s Web site.
