Police investigate attempted robbery that occurred Sunday morning

Kent State University Police are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred early Sunday morning.
Police were unavailable to comment on the incident, but a FlashLine message stated that the attempt occurred at 1:45 a.m. near Van Deusen Hall and the University Esplanade.
The suspect was armed with a small knife, but the victim received no injuries, according to the message. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male about 19 years old who is 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark blue “hoodie” and has a patch of facial hair on his chin.
