Flashes sign three recruits for 2009

Kent State coach Geno Ford added three players to the Kent State men’s basketball team’s roster for next fall.
Greg Avila, a 6-foot-6, 235 pound forward out of Harcum College, will join the team as a junior. Avila averaged 11 points and eight rebounds a game in his freshman season. He is currently in his sophomore season at Harcum.
The other two recruits are former teammates at Cleveland Bedford High School. Guard Randal Holt and forward Robert Johnson come in as freshmen next season.
The 6-foot-1, 180 pound Holt is ranked the 32nd best point guard in the country by Rivals.com and averaged nearly 21 points per game as a junior at Bedford. He is currently attending Glenville High School in Cleveland.
Johnson, 6-foot-6, 190, is still at Bedford and has averaged more than 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the last two seasons.
