The search for a director at the Women’s Resource Center came to an end last week. Heather Adams, academic program director at the office of advising and academic services, now holds the new position.

Adams went through an entire day of interviews with the search committee, the Women’s Resource Advisory Council and staff, women’s studies faculty, directors of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, Greg Jarvie, associate vice president of Student Affairs and dean of students, and Pete Goldsmith, vice president of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs.

The councils, committees and other faculty who sat in on her interviews completed evaluations, which were then reviewed by Jarvie and Goldsmith, who then made the final choice.

Adams has been an employee at Kent since 1985, when she was an assistant to the dean of the College of Fine and Professional Arts.
