Kent State to send condolences to Northern Illinois
February 22, 2008
Undergraduate Student Senate will be offering a gift to the student body of Northern Illinois University.
USS will be accepting signatures from Kent State students into two black books that will be sent to the student government at NIU following the shootings that occurred on its campus last week.
The books, which are on a table in the Student Center, will be available for students to sign for several more days. USS also offered a similar gesture for the student government of Virginia Tech following the shootings that took place on its campus last year.
“Obviously, we at Kent State can sympathize with what happened here in 1970,” Wetmore said. “We just want to send our wishes and condolences and try to make it a little easier for them.”
