Men’s basketball stays in first with victory over Ohio

The Kent State men’s basketball team started quickly and never looked back in a 72-62 victory against Ohio this afternoon at the M.A.C. Center.

The Flashes (21-5, 10-2 Mid-American Conference) scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed.

Junior guard Al Fisher scored 17 points, sophomore guard Chris Singletary had 16 and senior forward Haminn Quaintance added 12 to lead an offense that shot 55.6 percent for the game.

The Flashes play at Buffalo on Tuesday night in their next game.
