Ravenna accident leaves driver in critical condition

An accident yesterday morning in Ravenna left one man in critical condition at Cleveland MetroHealth hospital.
Robert S. White was life-flighted to Cleveland Metro after his 2001 white Subaru Forester collided with a 1992 GMC pickup truck at the corner of state Route 14 and Lovers Lane. Drew Zakrajsek was the driver of the pickup truck. The accident occurred at about 8 a.m.
Lt. Chris Singleton of the Ravenna City Fire Department said Zakrajsek and his passenger were transported to Robinson Memorial Hospital.
Christine Isenberg, director of marketing and public relations for Robinson Memorial, said Zakrajsek and the passenger were was treated their injuries and released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. The passenger’s name has not been released.
Singleton said firefighters from the Streetsboro, Kent, Ravenna City and Ravenna Township fire departments were on the scene helping to clear the accident and rescue White from his vehicle.
The Ravenna Police Department is still investigating the accident. No further information is available concerning the details of the accident or White’s condition at this time.
