Harambee Open Mic Night offers opportunity
September 25, 2007
Students wishing to express their culture through art can attend Harambee’s first Open Mic Night tonight at 7:30 in the Rathskeller.
Harambee is a student group associated with the Pan-African studies department and is a social, cultural and community service organization. President Adrian Neal said the group focuses on communicating one’s culture. Students who attend the open mic night may express themselves in anyway they wish, including reading poetry, singing, rapping or dancing.
Harambee previously hosted its events in Oscar Ritchie Hall, but because of renovations, it has found other outlets, in this case the Rathskeller.
