A goal in the 57th minute of play led to a 1-0 loss for the Kent State women’s soccer team in their regular season opener Friday at UC-Davis.

The Aggies Rochelle VanBuskirk squeaked a shot past the reach of Kent State goalie Kris Nelson from 15 yards out. The Flashes were outshot 17-5 for the game.

KSU will play their second game of the roadtrip Sunday, when they visit the Pacific. The Flashes will then return home to face Wright St. Friday Sept. 7.
