Bad News Beers roar past Tom Emanski’s All Stars in men’s softball quarterfinals

Bad News Beers ace Brian Easterday looked more like Randy Johnson in the men’s playoff quarterfinals as his usually on-point stuff was all over the place, but the defense picked him up en route to an 11-1 Beers’ win over Tom Emanski’s All Stars in four innings on Wednesday.

Key defensive plays were made by outfielders James Patti and Ben Ramsier, who both made huge run-saving throw outs at third base and home plate, respectively. The Bad News Beers were led on offense by Eaterday and “The Brothers In Arms” Mark and Ryan Wagner.

Home runs were hit by Chris Gregory and Timmy “Straight From The DUI Hotel” Roland.

The Beers will play their semifinal game Thursday at 7 p.m.
