Senator for Student Advancement Ben Feld’s main job this year was working with Mobile Campus, a contract with Kent State that links through text messaging students, faculty and local retail vendors, sponsored by the Undergraduate Student Senate.

Much of Feld’s days include him checking his e-mails, answering any messages he receives, holding office hours and checking the Mobile Campus table outside the office to see that everything is OK.

“I figure out ways to set up booths to get awareness out to students,” he said. “I make sure that correct messages get out to students and they are not being overwhelmed with them.”

Feld and Sen. Kourtney Wolfgang spent much of the year working on the Student Input Advisory Committee.

Next year, Feld would like to see the senator take what he and Wolfgang have started and continue with it more frequently.
