Hillel will be holding its 10th Annual All Campus Shabbat dinner tonight on the second floor of the Student Center. The service is at 6 p.m. in the Governance Chambers and the dinner is at 7 p.m. in the second floor cafeteria.

Hillel Executive Director Jennifer Chestnut said the event is free to all Jewish or non-Jewish students.

“(It is a) way to bring a cultural event to the campus and bring a large number of Jewish students together,” Chestnut said.

The goal is to target Jewish students who have not attended Hillel events, she said, so the dinner is being held in the Student Center to give the sense of an open atmosphere.

Kent State President Lester Lefton will be the key speaker at the event.

Chestnut said, “(It is) the Jewish community’s official welcome to President Lefton and his wife.”
