• Vice President of SALSA

• Member of Black United Students, PRIDE!Kent and the Kent State AACR

• Wants to revamp the Student Multi-Cultural Center

Because the Student Advancement position is not as clearly defined as the other senator positions, he has had little to work with on planning is platform, he said.

“With space like the Multi-Cultural Center, student organizations can utilize it,” he said. “I would also like to get student employees or volunteers to start working in the center.”

Another goal Trimm has for the center is to fill it with up to date information and truly make the center a place that students can benefit from.

“The Undergraduate Student Senate is probably the most powerful student organization on campus,” he said. “It has the potential to do a lot of good.”

Trimm has been involved as the Vice President of Salsa, involved loosely with Black United Students, PRIDE!Kent and the Kent State AACR.

“I hope to see more students take advantage of leadership opportunities available,” Trimm said. “Also I would like to see the new government become more representative of the student body.”
