Winter storm watch issued for Portage County

A major winter storm is expected to move into Northeast Ohio, including Portage and Summit counties, throughout tomorrow and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
More than 8 inches of snow is expected, possibly reaching a foot in some areas. Wind gusts could reach up to 30 mph. Heavy snowfall is expected to start Tuesday morning and continue through Wednesday afternoon.
Tonight the temperature is expected to drop to 19 degrees. Tomorrow’s high is 21 degrees with the low dropping to 15.
Snow is expected to be light today with accumulations of less than an inch.
