A section of Midway Drive was closed today between Theatre Drive and Baumgardner Circle due to a water line break in Nixson Hall and the Women’s Resource Center.

The break was discovered last night by maintenance.

The water was back on by 12:45 p.m., Equipment Operator of Grounds and Maintenance Bill Fitzgerald said. The hole just needs to be filled with sand and the mud taken away.

Midway Drive should be open by 5 p.m.

It was a good day for the line to break, Fitzgerald said. Traffic was light because students are going home for the weekend.
