After being without a head coach for two months, Kent State men’s and women’s cross country finally has a new one.
Athletic Director Laing Kennedy named former University of Oregon assistant coach Bill Lawson as the new coach for cross country and assistant coach for track-and-field.
Lawson replaces Wendell McRaven, who left the Flashes for the University of Illinois at the beginning of July.
The men’s and women’s cross country teams begin their seasons Saturday at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.
