Students evacuate Allyn hall after a fire broke out this morning at 9 a.m. in a third floor room.

A fire caused significant damage and resident evacuations in Allyn Hall this morning. No student injuries were reported. Officials responded to the scene after a fire alarm sounded at 8:56 a.m. John Tosko, captain of the Kent Fire Department, said the amount of damage is unknown. “At this time, it’s undetermined,” he said. “It’s a significant fire loss.”
