Be a DJ with a three-song mix and an iPod at Ray’s tomorrow
April 4, 2005
Any student with an iPod, three songs and a few hours to kill tomorrow night can be the disc jockey — or one of 12 — at Ray’s Place.
The Kent State Apple Store and Ray’s Place are sponsoring an iPod night from 10 p.m. tomorrow to about 1 a.m. Thursday.
DJs will compile a three-song playlist, to play when their iPods are plugged into the stereo system at Ray’s Place. Instructions are available at the Apple Store in the Art Building, where anyone interested in being a DJ must sign up.
“The rise in popularity of the iPod is a big factor” for having the iPod night, said Chip Kalback, Kent State Apple Computer campus representative. “We heard about a lot of college bars across the country doing it, and we wanted to be more creative here.”
