Sen. Bryan Guffey is no longer running in the upcoming Undergraduate Student Senate election.

“He is dropping out of the race, but he’s staying on for the remainder of the 2004-2005 term,” Executive Director Gary Broadbent said.

Guffey currently holds the student advancement position and was running for re-election.

“He would like to focus more on his time here at school,” Broadbent said.

Guffey is currently involved in several theater productions and is a member of Delta Lambda Phi.

“A lot of the changes he would like to see most are changes he can make outside of senate,” Broadbent said.

Guffey was not available for comment.
