Undergraduate Student Senate inaugurated Valerie J. Fatica as the new senator for university affairs at its meeting yesterday.

Sheryl Smith, director of the Office of Campus Life, administered Fatica the oath of office.

USS also passed its election bill and chose March 9 and 10 for the dates of the next general election.

The election bill was approved with only minor amendments made to correct spelling and time errors.

Students wishing to run in the election can pick up applications in the Office of Campus Life beginning Feb. 3. The deadline to return applications is 4 p.m. Feb. 16. Applications require a petition containing signatures of 1 percent of the undergraduate student body.
