Kent State redshirt senior defender Karly Hellstrom has been named the Mid-American Conference’s soccer offensive player of the week. 

Hellstrom scored a goal in the Flashes’ 6-0 win over Canisius and added an assist in their 3-2 loss to Northwestern. Hellstrom is currently tied for fifth on the team in goals with one and tied for second in assists with two. 

During the 2020 spring season, Hellstrom started all seven games while scoring a goal. During the 2019 season, she finished third on the team in goals with five, assists with three, and points with 13.
