The Kent State’s men’s basketball team announced Thursday that reigning Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year Reggie Bass was transferring to the Flashes. 

Bass averaged 12.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists for Central Michigan last season, starting in 28 of 30 games. 

The All-Freshman Team member ranked sixth in the conference in free throws, making 114.

Bass averaged 26 points per game over the final five games last season, including a career-high 40-point performance on Feb. 25 against Northern Illinois. 

Last season, against KSU, the 6’4’’ guard scored 16 points, totaled seven assists and converted 4 of 9 shots from behind the arc in the teams’ lone matchup on Jan. 31.
