Reader: Is there a way to make quitting clubs easier? I do too many and need to cut back.

Dear Reader,

First, it is so cool that you have so many things you are interested in! Getting involved is one of the most important things during college so it’s great you didn’t have a problem with that.

My advice is to start with evaluating each club. Which ones are most enjoyable? How do they fit into your schedule? What are the benefits?

Once you’ve figured out what clubs you want to quit, it is best to contact the club and be open and honest with them. Explain why you can no longer be a part of the club and they should be understanding. You are a student after all, and you have so many things on your plate already. Once you have told them, follow any steps to officially quit the club.

In the end, you will feel much happier that you quit and aren’t trying to balance too many clubs at once. Clubs are supposed to be fun, not cause you any extra stress. Have fun!
