Flash Activities Board (FAB) is hosting a watch party in the pool for the first Kent State football game Thursday.
Football fans can watch the Flashes season opener against the University of Central Florida (UCF) on the big screen in the KSU Recreation Center.
This event gives students an opportunity to cheer for their team despite the game taking place states away.
“Students can not go out to central Florida,” FAB Vice President Ariyanna Robb said, “but they’re able to still support their friends, their peers, their classmates and their favorite players.”
The first 500 attendees will receive a free T-shirt. Students can also participate in a raffle for a chance to win some game day essentials.
“We wanted every aspect of these giveaways to be used by the students.” she said.
Items such as sunscreen, hand sanitizer and Kent State swag will be in the raffle bags.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with the game beginning at 7:00 p.m.
“Being able to be at a pool party,” she said. “While watching your Kent State Golden Flashes play football on a screen and hang out with your friends. It’s an experience like no other.”
