Kent State hosted the Ohio Latino Affairs Summit in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The theme this year was “Avanzando Juntos,” meaning moving forward together. The summit’s slogan is “Latino Growth is Ohio Growth.” President Todd Diacon said that the university strives to create an environment that empowers individuals of all backgrounds.TV2’s Michael Neenan was there and has the story.
