FIRST: EuroGyro
Located at 107 S. Depeyster St., the pool tables and stocked bar at EuroGyro drive students there for some after hours fun. With TouchTunes booming and honey gold pizza’s galore, it’s the place where many late nights find a final stop.
Doug Shanley, a manager at the establishment, described the late-night crowd as “boisterous.”
The best part about EuroGyro is the power hour and the six dollar wacky Wednesday pizzas.
When asked to describe EuroGyro, Trevor Bartley, a senior accounting major, called it “the last pit stop after a hell-raising weekend.”
EuroGyro being the place to go after a night of drinking, one is bound to leave with some memorable stories.
“I walked into the bar, strobe lights going, I could feel my organs shaking from how loud the dubstep music was,” Ethan Bollinger, a senior finance major said.
A bonus of being in a college town for four years is students start to get to know the staff. Ryan Flanagan, a senior public health major, seems to have gotten very close with some.
“It depends on the day with the staff,” Flanagan said. “I usually like them, unless they cut my friend and I off.”

SECOND: Guys Pizza Co.
Guys Pizza Co. has served Kent for over 15 years. Located at 146 S. Water St, whether it’s a delivery order or a walk-in, customers are bound to get quality pizza quickly.
Jessic Duraj, a senior fashion merchandising major, said they enjoy the location and prices of Guys Pizza.
“The location is perfect, and I can get it immediately on my walk back from the bars and eat it as I walk,” Duraj said. “You can just never go wrong with a slice of pizza. It’s always good.”
Duraj’s go-to is just a slice of cheese pizza. One of Guys’ selling points is pizza by the slice. Cheap, quick and easy are the ways to a drunk college kid’s heart.
“I love D.P. Dough or other food options, but late at night it always takes way too long, and I don’t have the patience for them,” Duraj said.

THIRD: Taco Bell
Taco Bell, a fast-food chain, serves Mexican-inspired fare such as tacos, quesadillas and nachos.
Located at 805 E. Main St., the drive thru line remains constant through the night with many customers ordering through DoorDash.
“Since I have moved to Kent, Taco Bell probably has at least $500 of my money,” said Hunter Mohrman, a senior nursing major.
Drunk eats do more than just help people sober up. They also keep the after party going.
Josey Brashear, a senior environmental conservation biology major, said “while I wait for DoorDash, I normally drink more. Sometimes we will jump on some Jackbox or play card games, anything to pass the two hours I know it will take to get delivered.”
Living so close to bars and Taco Bell has its ups and downs. But at the end of the day, drunk food is a staple in college.
“I honestly wish Taco Bell was further, so I would go there less,” Brashear said. “Although, if it was located downtown next to the bars, I would have $0 in my bank account.”
