FIRST: Kent Lanes

Kent Lanes, located at 1524 S Water Street, offers activities of many sorts. The bowling center features 24 bowling lanes, two sand volleyball courts, a full bar and a kitchen.  Lane rental starts at $3 per game before 5 p.m. and $4 per game after 5 p.m. After 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, there is a $5 per game charge.  All shoe rentals are $3 for non-special times.

Their specials feature a Sunday Breakfast Bowl from 9 a.m. to noon with $15 unlimited bowling and breakfast. Their unlimited bowling begins at 10:00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. Unlimited bowling costs $12 Sundays through Thursdays and $15 Fridays and Saturdays. The price for unlimited bowling includes shoe rental.

SECOND: The Burnt Pickle

The Burnt Pickle, located at 1655 East Main Street, features a full bar, live music on the weekends and weekly karaoke night on Wednesdays. Entry to most events costs $5 for those over 21, and $10 for those 18-20. Check them out on Instagram @theburntpickle or Facebook for their events and covers.

THIRD: Kent Plaza 

Kent Plaza Cinemas, located at 140 Cherry Street in the University Plaza Shopping Center, shows new feature movies daily. Tickets are $7 for all shows before 5 p.m. in traditional stadium seating and $7.50 for luxury seating. For shows after 5 p.m., stadium seat tickets are $8.75 for Tuesday through Thursday, $9 for Friday through Sunday, and $10.25 for luxury seating all week.

Kent Plaza runs a Student Study Break Tuesday special where students can bring their college ID and get stadium tickets for $6.75 and luxury tickets for $7.50. On Mondays, customers can purchase any movie ticket for $5.25, with free popcorn.
