Kent State alumna Collette Johnson, 38, keeps busy during the government shutdown by working as a volunteer firefighter and treasurer at the Tupper Plains Fire Department. Johnson is an administrative officer at the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge System in Pleasants County, West Virginia.
