Best of Kent: Best Pizza

1st: Guy’s Pizza

Last year’s first-place winner is nes- tled among the various shops and stores on South Water Street in downtown Kent. Known for its fresh, delicious pizza, the hole-in-the-wall eatery serves a unique take on the classic savory pie. 

Guy’s specials include “Loaded Baked Potato”, “Meatzza,” “Texas BBQ” and the new “Bacon Cheese- burger Pizza” that combines the “best of both worlds;” pizza and burgers.

Between on-the-spot ordering, online ordering, delivery and pick-up, Guy’s offers far more than the average passerby would think. 

 

2nd: Hungry Howie’s

This national chain in downtown Kent on East Main Street offers gluten- free options are available
for all pizza varieties, which range in size from a junior to an extra-large.

Between on-the-spot ordering, online ordering, delivery and pick-up, Guy’s offers far more than the average passerby would think.

Customers have the option of choosing flavored crusts, thin crust or deep-dish pies and not-so-average pies like “Asian Chicken” and “Philly Cheese Steak.” In addition to pizza, Howie’s offers calzones, salads, wings and desserts. 

 

3rd: EuroGyro

Though EuroGyro offers up an varied menu of entrees — pizza, burgers, wings, sandwiches, subs, pasta and gyros — the establishment is known for its above-average pizzas. 

The South Depeyster Street restaurant, open since 1979, serves up 11 varieties of pies for meat and veggie lovers alike. The house special “EuroGyro Pizza” features garlic spread with provolone, mozzarella and feta cheese, topped with tomatoes, onions, black olives, gyro meat and oregano.
