Kent State Flash-A-Thon worked with Akron Children’s Hospital this weekend to create a lip dub music video.

The video is set to OneRepublic’s “I live,” and will raise money for the hematology and oncology department at Akron Children’s Hospital.

“We were looking for an upcoming song that had a message that we wanted the kids to sing,” said Flash-A-Thon President Andy Lovrak.

The video features 40 KSU students, 15 patients and 10 doctors and nurses and has been in the works since this past July, but it only took five hours to shoot.

Originally, the hospital didn’t think the video was possible, but Lovravk was determined to work something out.

“It was something fun we could involve families and patients with so it wasn’t just students participating,” Lovrak said.

Donations can be made to Flash-A-Thon here.
