Professor of Anthropology Rick Feinberg, will be giving a presentation titled “Introducing Pacific Islanders” Oct. 22 at noon in the Oscar Ritchie Hall Conference Room 127.

“People here are unfamiliar with the Pacific Islands,” said Feinberg. “I think a lot of people here imagine white sand beaches and palm trees and maybe primitive people in grass skirts. But they have the same kind of urban life that we have.”

Feinberg’s speech will be a basic overview of the Pacific Islands and the research he has done about the Pacific Islands. His presentation is a part of the Pan-African Studies “Lunch and Learn” speaker series.
