Top Scholars Showcase planned for September

The College of Business Administration will host a program in September 2014 that selects outstanding students to interact and network with premier employers.

Michael Morley, career advisor at Kent State, said students are selected to apply for the VanBenthuysen Top Student Scholars Showcase based on their GPA, leadership experiences and either internship for-credit or not for-credit quality work experiences.

“The format of the program is setup comparable to speed dating,” Morley said. “Students are invited to interview several employers by rotating to different tables during ten minute increments.”

Morley said in an email the program was created in 2013 at the request of Dean Deborah Spake “to provide eligible KSU students with a unique marketing and networking opportunity.”
